5 ways to be more sensual and Reconnect with your body
Ever forget to eat? Or stop for the day and realize how tired you really are — and then it all falls down on you?
In modern society it is easy to be busy, doing all the things that need to be done, and become disconnected from our bodies.
Adages such as ‘go hard’ or ‘beat mode’ or ‘sleep, when you die’ all celebrate these hustle, grind culture which we seem to have its rewards but over time, can be harmful to our health and well being.
When it comes to navigating life and showing up powerfully it can cause us to miss a lot of information and wisdom about our health, relationships, even business decisions that our body has to bestow upon us.
This is a very masculine way of living and moving through life.
On the other hand, have you ever met a woman whose entire aura just screams juiciness, power, Goddess? She is a woman that has embodied her inner power – she is connected to her sensual body, listens and works with her emotional body, and embraces a lifestyle of living feminine.
Living feminine is to live with intention from a place of love, power, and grace.
It is a lifestyle that:
1. Heals your mental and emotional body
2. Cultivates your inner power
3. Supports you in receiving the blessings of your heart’s desires
Sound to be good to be true? It’s not – it is your birthright and simply requires aligning with your higher or divine Self.
The alignment peace is where all the fun lay. It can be challenging when we don’t have the practices in place.
Here are five fundamental practices that when committed to can create waves in your life.
1. Sleep
At the core of living feminine and any lifestyle that promotes healing is rest. The brilliance of the body and mind in its ability to heal and rejuvenate is phenomenal.
With proper rest including sleep, time away from electronics, and with nature, the body and mind restore themselves.
Sleep is a very personal thing – take the time to work to find a sleep rhythm that works best for you. It may be eight hours straight, it may be a shorter long sleep with naps, there are many rules around the sleep we are supposed to get and what it is supposed to look like.
Start a sleep journal and begin to test what works for you, your body, and your lifestyle. What works? What doesn’t work? What are you willing to change?
The simple habit of monitoring and bringing attention to your sleep will increase it’s quality.
2. Move Your Body
Moving the body is absolutely essential to connect to her. Dance, yoga, and even gentle stretching are ways to get to know your body intimately for a number of reasons.
a. Moving her allows you to feel what’s going on with her. As you get into the moment you may feel light in some areas, or heavier than usual, or maybe you notice your hips are tighter than usual, or you can bend over further.
There is wisdom and insight in all of these subtleties, especially as you begin to see how it shifts over time and how it corresponds to what is going on in your life. Your body will tell you what she needs, especially when you take the time to listen to her.
b. Movement allows stagnant energy to gain motion, creating the space for release if desired.
The ability to listen and work with your body I’m moving energy is a powerful ability that can help with anxiety, stress management, emotional healing, mental fatigue, and overwhelm.
I love yoga for this exact reason – it is such a powerful tool that allows you to get into certain poses and be with where you are in the moment and feel the energy as it moves through your body.
c. Of course, the endorphins that are released during exercise is definitely a thing. They help to increase your mood, relieve stress, and help you see things in a more positive and clearer lens.
3. Meditate
Meditation is a practice that gives of itself over and over. Research has shown that meditating thickens the pre-frontal cortex the part of the brain associated with higher-order functioning – awareness, concentration, and decision making.
This goes a very long way in living with intention part of living feminine. A feminine woman is intentional in her actions, decisions, and behavior. Being connected to your emotions does not mean being run by your emotions.
Meditation cultivates the self-awareness needs to connect with your sensual body and emotions in a way that allows them to help inform your decisions around what you need and what is best for you and your family.
4. Eat Mindfully
Food is the fuel for your body. The old adage, eat light, eat right has a lot of truth to it. However, you choose to design your nutrition it is very important to lead with a plant-based diet of fruits and vegetables. They naturally detox the body, balance the pH, and provide the fuel needed to rejuvenate during your rest time.
There is also a very strong connection between the gut and the mind. You will notice when you are eating healthily you not only feel better in your body deepening your desire to stay connected to her and cultivating clarity of mind.
5. Journal
The ability to bring all of the benefits of resting and the awareness cultivated through movement and meditation and the lightness and clarity that comes from eating light to your life and self-reflection is where the rubber meets the road.

You then get to bring the clarity and wisdom you cultivated in your life and Intentional Journaling back to the mat, back to the cushion, back to the kitchen, and back to your rest practice to go deeper in your self-awareness, energetic alignment, and healing.
It all works together.
