The paradigm shift: i just feel like there is more

I’ve been speaking to clients, friends, and colleagues lately who have all shared a resounding desire – “I just feel like there is more.”

They’re feeling this inner urge to do something different in their lives – specifically their career

  1. Fear-based to love-based
  2. Overworking and burnout to flow and ease (with impact)
  3. More soul aligned
  4. Contribute to society and have an impact
  5. Trust their inner guidance
  6. Speak their truth
  7. And have fun – to do work that feels like an expression of who they are

We are living in transitional times. What we see today, the way life is, will not be the same in the future.
With the advent of AI, the changing economy, and the overall shift in how we approach work the changes are rapidly upon us.

Your inner guidance is there nudging you in ways to support your growth and thinking during this shift. Listen. American Capitalism is rooted in codependent models of oppression – specifically slavery and colonialism both justified by racism.

Racism inherently is a codependent model which fuels the oppressors lack of inner worth and ‘enoughness’ by feeding off of those they aim to oppress.

The continuance of these models and structures, evident in modern society – in corporate structures, leadership, and the way we engage wit each other — are now dying as new paradigms replace them.

It is time to heal the foundation and crux in which the American economy (and arguably capitalism) is built on. It is leading to illness on pervasive levels that we don’t talk about enough – illnesses such as autoimmune disease, depression, and anxiety are more rampant than ever.

As a collective everyone loses and the planet suffers, while many companies give lip service to humanity while prioritizing profits at the expense of people stil

Let’s be honest – everyone loves a profitable year — but is it really enjoyable when it comes at the expense of one’s own health or another’s well-being.

This isn’t an either or conversation – money or people, good economy or health planet, workaholism or no impact.

It only feels and seems that way through a codependent lens. One of the key symptoms of codependency as define by Pia Mallory is black and white thinking.

Another one being sourcing esteem from outside (power of another, wealth, accolaides) of you vs within. A norm in ‘high performing’ environments – top colleges and universities. elite firms and tech companies, and even in K-12 environments where students stress over grades and performance at ages as young as 5.

The crazy thing about all of this, is none of it cultivates our highest performance. It forces a level of performance, sometimes even damn good, through a human life until they fall sick, burnout, or opt-out (many more are doing the latter).

While the basic life principles of treating each other well, compassion, empathy, and positive regard which truly cultivate the inner genius of an individual – are undermined and treated as a luxury or option vs a basic core value.

What would it be like if we transformed the very foundation in which our society were built on?

At The Love Work™ we believe that it’s not only possible but imperative. And a wave of leaders committed to this shift – transformational leaders – is here.

And we need to care for ourselves with intention and love.

Creating the space for heart-centered leadership from the inside-out, in alignment with your inner guidance, authenticity, self-knowledge, and centered in our worth.

The kind of leadership that comes from soul-aligned living. on purpose. And this takes proper self-care, Inner alignment, and self-trust.

The confidence to listen to your inner voice. The self-trust to make difficult decisions. The self-love and self-acceptance to be authentic and show up as you.

The future is here.

Welcome to The Love Work.

Happy Lunar New Year! I have to say honoring this cycle of going within from the Winter Solstice to the New Year has felt amazing.

I’ll continue to move slow. I find I’m more productive when I do, anyway.

I am excited to be returning to a normal posting schedule. It’s been very light the last 6 weeks.

I also have some super dope announcements that I’m excited to share.

More soon. Here’s a short video sharing some insight into my personal process the last 6 weeks.

It’s been deep y’all. I honestly feel like years have gone by. That’s how energetically far I am from where I was at the end of December.

Let’s welcome the year of the Tiger.🐯 My word for 2022 is Self-Actualization.👑🎉

In today’s video a got a little emotional sharing a story from when I was in graduate school and was not present to my power and contribution and allowed myself to be silenced and questioned the validity of my ideas and research.

Today I made a hibiscus tea with ginger, sugar, and honey. Hibiscus is used in some cultures to lower blood pressure while ginger and honey are natural antibiotics.

True Story: I once had a really bad toothaches and my oral surgeon was out of town on Vacay. I knew it was infected and he would want to pull it when he saw it. I literally chewed on ginger (most of the day) and ate honey multiple times/day. It not only relieved the pain significantly (bc it was fighting the infection) but when my oral surgeon saw me he said, “I’m going to pull it. You’re lucky it’s infected but not too bad. If it were worse I’d have to give you antibiotics and you’d have to come back I get it pulled.” I told him it was worse but I had been chewing on ginger bc I knew it would need to be pulled. He looked at me like I was crazy while his assistant (who was up on game) smiled and nodded. #naturalremedies #selfhealing
